Project Description
The Ovenbird Bakery is a 9,100-square-foot production bakery with a retail front-end located at 3925 Gough St Suite #2 in Baltimore’s Highlandtown neighborhood. The project involved complete construction and the bakery is now fully operational and open to the public. Our team successfully managed every aspect of the construction project, from site preparation to final construction. We handled both interior and exterior finishes, including flooring, wall treatments, and ceiling design, as well as the installation of key fixtures like shelving, display cases, and countertops. Additionally, we oversaw the installation of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
This unique bakery now features a production area for creating European-style sourdough breads and pastries. The retail space showcases a distinctive design element – a large umbrella-like dome inspired by Turkish art. This visual centerpiece reflects Ovenbird’s focus on incorporating spices and flavors from Turkey and the Mediterranean region into their handcrafted European breads and pastries.
